Position Title: News Anchor

Reports to: News Director

KFOR-TV, Oklahoma's News 4, is looking for a strong, dynamic, experienced News Anchor to join our award-winning team. For 76 years, Channel 4 has been building a legacy of trust with the community. We provide more hours of news and weather than any other television station in our state and we do it in a way unlike the competition. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Presents content for broadcast, digital and CTV in an engaging and professional manner
• Compelling storyteller
• Writes and presents news stories clearly and concisely
• Assists in writing, copy editing, researching, and coordinating news programming and other content
• Responds urgently to breaking news and other time-sensitive newsrooms situations
• Participates in promotional activities including public appearances
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
• Writes content for the website and other digital platforms

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to communicate (written and oral), across all platforms and to ad lib when required
• Superior on-air presence
• Excellent news judgment with an expansive knowledge of current events, history, newsmakers and issues
• Experience guiding, directing and motivating others
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Flexibility to work varied shifts.
