- Advocacy and Guest Experience Manager

Summary of Position:
The Advocacy and Guest Experience Manager will oversee the Family Advocacy program, the coordination of volunteer services, and ensure high-quality support for clients and team members. This position serves as a key liaison between volunteers, families, multidisciplinary team members, and organizational leadership. The Manager promotes trauma-informed, child-centered practices that align with The CARE Center’s mission to support victims of child abuse and their families.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
Child and Family Advocacy
Provide supervision and guide the strategic direction of the Family Advocacy Program.
Provide direction and supervision to the Guest Experience Specialist position.
Provide direct advocacy services to children and families during and after forensic interviews, as needed.
Coordinate Family Advocate schedules and activities.
Manage relationships with outside referral agencies and pursue new support service options for children and families.
Maintain client confidentiality and detailed case documentation in accordance with agency policy and legal requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners, including law enforcement, child welfare, and prosecution, to ensure a coordinated response to child abuse cases.
Ensure all NCA advocacy standard requirements are being met.
Partner with the Forensics Manager to ensure a coordinated approach for families.
Volunteer/Inter Coordination
Recruit, screen, train, and supervise guest experience volunteers
Recruit, screen, train, and connect volunteers & interns to programmatic-specific leadership to support broader programs, administrative functions, and special events.
Develop and maintain volunteer/intern orientation materials and ongoing training opportunities.
Coordinate volunteer/intern schedules and assignments to ensure adequate support for client services and agency operations.
Maintain accurate volunteer and intern records, including applications, background checks, and service hours.
Recognize and retain volunteers through appreciation efforts and ongoing engagement initiatives.
Supervision and Leadership
Supervise and mentor advocacy staff, volunteers, and interns to ensure consistent delivery of trauma-informed services.
Conduct regular case reviews, performance evaluations, and team meetings.
Foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment.
Participate in program development, grant reporting, and community outreach activities.
Track program outcomes and prepare reports for leadership and funding agencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, child development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in child advocacy, social services, or volunteer management.
Supervisory experience required.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed, culturally competent care.
Work Environment
Full-time, primarily in-office position with occasional evening or weekend work for volunteer events or crisis response.
Regular interaction with children and families experiencing trauma.
Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality, composure, and professionalism in challenging situations.
