Job Summary
This emergency appointment role supports expanded response efforts addressing community needs related to housing, economic stability, and social services. The Administrative Services Manager I provides high-level analytical, programmatic, and administrative support, contributing to policy development, operational improvements, and program effectiveness. The position involves conducting complex research and analysis, developing recommendations, coordinating with diverse stakeholders, and supporting decision-making in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Performance during the initial appointment period will be evaluated for consideration of permanent placement.
Essential Job Functions
Conduct complex and sensitive research involving data collection from multiple sources, interpreting conflicting or ambiguous information, and developing sound conclusions
Design and apply appropriate qualitative and quantitative analytical methods to identify issues, summarize findings, and support decision-making
Compile and organize information into meaningful formats such as tables, spreadsheets, and data files
Analyze operational, financial, and programmatic issues and recommend effective courses of action
Participate in the development of policies, programs, and operational improvements to address identified challenges
Prepare reports, memoranda, correspondence, and presentations, including materials of a sensitive or confidential nature
Communicate findings and recommendations to varied audiences through written materials and presentations
Coordinate with internal staff, external agencies, vendors, contractors, and consultants to support program implementation
Monitor programs and processes to ensure goals, timelines, and performance expectations are met
Evaluate program effectiveness by comparing outcomes to objectives and recommend continuation, modification, or discontinuation
Perform administrative duties in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, including records management and document processing
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Option I: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience performing analytical assignments, including at least two years at the associate analyst level, in areas such as human resources, budget, finance, contracts, or related administrative fields
Option II: Five years of experience performing analytical assignments, including at least two years at the associate analyst level, in similar administrative fields
An advanced degree in a closely related field may substitute for one year of required experience.
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license or the ability to use alternative transportation for job-related duties
Ability to perform light physical activity, including occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, bending, stooping, squatting, and walking
