- 2nd Shift Injection Molding Operator
Description
We are currently seeking a motivated Injection Molding 2nd Shift Lead Operator, work shift is 3:45pm-12:15am. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of Production, Assembly and Quality Assurance during the 2nd shift. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating product scheduling and production runs for the shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform molding machine functions: Basic processing and troubleshooting, along with material handling.
Maintain production and mold set-up records, in compliance with ISO requirements.
Resolve daily operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to prevent operational delays.
Conduct In-process QC Inspections, Finished Product Labeling, and Packaging.
Lead manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production and quality of products.
Coordinate personnel resources to meet second shift Production and Assembly requirements.
Work as an active member of the OSHA safety committee.
Perform closing functions including powering down equipment and securing the facility.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in injection molding machine operation/processing.
Experience in mold set up/take downs and repair and maintenance of injection molding equipment a plus.
Ability to:
add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
read and interpret blueprints and customer drawing and specifications.
understand equipment operating and maintenance instructions along with procedure manuals.
write and maintain maintenance logs as well as procure bought out parts for repair and preventative maintenance on injection molding equipment.
maintain positive communication with leadership and peers.
to work in exposed temperature conditions as dictated by the climate.
maintain a strong safety conscious attitude and implement safety recommendations immediately.
Education:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
